Student Environmental and Sustainability Fee (SESF) Committee
The Student Environmental and Sustainability Fee
The Student Environmental and Sustainability Fee (SESF) is a voluntary student fee authorized pursuant to Washington State law (RCW 28B.15.610). The primary purpose of the funds collected through the SESF is to advance the mission of Bellevue College by providing funding for projects, offices, and programs that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility efforts on campus.
The SESF Committee
The SESF Committee is the advisory body to the ASGBC Board of Directors responsible for making recommendations pertaining to SESF collections, distributions and expenditures, using the procedures described in the SESF agreement.
The voting membership of the SESF committee consists of the following individuals:

The ASGBC Director of Sustainability and Civic Engagement who shall serve as Chair

The ASGBC President

The ASGBC Director of Finance
-
Two (2) students-at-large appointed by the ASGBC President
- One (1) sustainability focused student led organization representative appointed by the committee chair​

One (1) Classified Staff Representative appointed by the Classified Council
-
One (1) Faculty Representative appointed by the Faculty Council
-
One (1) Administrative Services representative appointed by the Vice President of Administrative Services.

Meetings and Funding Requests
The Student Environmental Sustainability Fee Committee will hold at a minimum, three (3) open public meetings per year. Historically, the SESF committee meets at least three (3) times each quarter (excluding summer). Meeting dates will be published on this page as they are scheduled. Meeting dates are subject to change.
