Who We Are
The ASGBC Office of Civic Engagement (OCE) is a student-led, student centered non-partisan organization that aims to advocate for the interests and concerns of students both internally within the college and externally in the broader legislative arena. We represent students on the local, state, and federal level dealing with student organizing, tabling, phone banking, rallying, lobbying, and networking.
Our legislative advocacy efforts are where we fight for all Bellevue College students! Each year the OCE Team builds our legislative agenda by gathering feedback from Bellevue College students. After our agenda is established, we begin advocating for our students at the local, state, and federal levels. Our civic engagement efforts are where we get Bellevue College students get more involved with the electoral and political processes. We do this by overseeing voter registration efforts on our campus, and encouraging our students to vote in all elections that they are able. We also do this by tabling, canvassing, conducting class visits, and by hosting events such as candidate panels, voter drives, etc. If you are interested in any of these efforts, please click to learn more!
