ASGBC Student Organizations

An ASGBC student organization is defined as a student-led group who organizes to promote, celebrate, or pursue a common interest; and who have been recognized by the ASGBC to operate as such.

The purpose of an ASGBC student organization at Bellevue College is to provide the opportunity for students to engage with one another in the pursuit of common interests, build relationships, gain leadership and organizational skills, and overall make meaningful contributions to the student experience at Bellevue College.

The ASGBC and the Office of Student Engagement jointly support ASGBC Student Organizations.

Current Student Organizations

Once the ASGBC Board of Directors begins ratifying student organization charters in September, a current and up to date list of all official ASGBC Student Organizations will appear below.

This is the official list that the ASGBC will be referring to when determining if groups are eligible for funding.

How to Become an ASGBC Student Organization

Step 01

The first step in becoming an ASGBC Student Organization is to find four other students who want to be members of your organization.  When completing the chartering application you supply a list of five (5) members.

Step 02

The second step in becoming an ASGBC Student Organization is to find a BC faculty or staff member to be your advisor. If you are having trouble finding an advisor contact us and we can help you find one!

Step 03

The final step in becoming an ASGBC Student Organization is to complete the chartering application which can be found here. Once you have completed this form and student engagement has verified it, the ASGBC Board of Directors then votes to recognize your organization at an official Board of Directors meeting.

For additional information regarding these requirements please refer to the ASGBC Constitution, ASGBC Bylaws, and the Office of Student Engagement.
